Also, it looks like a lot of Brits should be locked up inside their dwellings forever: "Lockdown litter louts: Daytrippers thronging to Britain's beauty spots as restrictions are eased leave behind huge piles of rubbish, including bottles of human waste. 'To witness the disregard with which Durdle Door, our beaches and coast paths, have been treated is shocking,' said Jurassic Coast Trust chief executive Lucy Culkin, adding that the charity had received 'hundreds of messages highlighting the volume of litter'. In the Lake District, rangers filled 130 bags with rubbish after the weekend while in the Yorkshire Dales, two couples alone picked up 53 bags of litter from Stainforth Force waterfall near Settle. Local councillor Paul Sullivan said: 'It is horrendous... Too many people won't pick up.' www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8381937/Disgusting-state-Britains-beaches-weekend-soaring-temperatures-revealed.html

WHin advice NOW is that at 2m you stand a 1.2% chance of catching the virus off an infected person ... at 1m that risk increases to 2.3% chance ... we're more at risk of getting run over it seems to me . They only say that because the WHO is the mouthpiece of the Communist Party of China (allegedly) and the truth is it's 88.6% chance at 3.5 metres. Don't be lulled into a false security! I understand the figures relate to normal contact ... not someone coughing or sneezing in your face. Remember it has ALWAYS been polite, and strong medical advice to cover coughs and sneezes ... I know it's currently hard to believe but there are other contagions around Rog

Good example of 'social distancing' (ie. not spreading the lurgy) at petrol station in Kannus: the pay-inside pumps are out of use, you pay by card/cash at the other pumps so the poor cashier doesn't have to suffer you breathing over her:

If the planets align and you're short handed I might be able to nip over and lend a hand down the Wigan flight. It's a cops thing for me, vehicle insured at one address, licence at a house sold 5 years ago and it's a camper, cops on their computer are going to think I'm on my holibobs 100's of miles from where they think I might actually live. But if the rules relax a bit more the cops will be back to ignoring me.

Cheers - The current "plan".... assuming crt announce 3 days of free movement from 12th as expected, is to be moored at the top of Wigan on 13th pm following on from 2 long days to get from Skipton. so HOPE to be working down the flight on Sunday 14th. I'm hoping to talk another boater marooned in Skipton with me to make the scramble for it too but I have a suspicion they prefer lazy days (can't blame them) and may wait until 1st July when they can proceed at their own pace.

I'll follow your progress on here. Good luck, it sounds like you'll need it. Have you got bolt croppers?

I've got a cordless Angle grinder and slit discs... It's only Blackburn locks "out of hours" that'll mess things up worringly... I really don't want to spend the night at the top of them waiting to go down if timings don't work out.
