In the toy trawler there are currently only 3 water tanks. I am intending to fit a 4th one for proper clean fresh drinking water. It's going to be a cleaned out beer keg.
This idea popped into my head:
A 12v delivery pump but rather than using a normal tap I would make up a curved copper tube with some sort of non return valve in it and wire the pump to a PWM speed controller.
So to get water you would just turn a little volume control type switch which gives you infinitely variable pump speed. The further it is turned the more water comes out.
Is this totally pointless?
I just think it might save the pump from needlessly switching on and off.
Only for delivery of cold water to a single outlet.

Or, and this is me thinking totally out of the box, you could fit some sort of hand-pump to the existing valve.

I'm going to have my whale manual brass tap as well but sometimes pumping by hand is too arduous.
The ideal outcome is to have 5 taps on the sink.
There only 3 thus far.

I'm trying to get a transatlantic boat safety ticket for it.

Just got one of these for my garden pond. About 50mm cube. You might need a phish philtre too.
