What you need to do is kill all mammals off completely, permanently. They are competing with humans for resources. Kill all mammals asap! humans ARE mammals - or didn't Teacher explain that properly?

"Cardiologist said yesterday "you can't cycle away a bad diet". A bike ride to the chip shop will not reduce weight."

My sis did the mega cycle rides across Europe and from Lands End to John o'Groats As far as I could make out, after breakfast they cycled for 2 hours..stopped for coffee n cake..cycled for 2 hours..lunch...2 hours..ice cream..2 hours or so...dinner she also carried snacks 'just in case' So I'm undecided as to the health benefits of these cycle tours...

Bikes are in theory good but in commuting situations they seem to attract people with attitude problems.
This is more of a problem in cities I guess but in some places they have wrecked the usability of towpaths and actually made it quite dangerous, with zero respect for others. They don't even have respect for people with children or prams. Zombie idiots.

GP's new careers will be handing out bicycles. "Boris Johnson's bike-voucher website crashes the MINUTE it launches." "'It is probably easier to get tickets to Glastonbury than to get this stupid fix your bike voucher from the government, which was utterly predictable. Well done guys." "all Britons will be offered free training on how to ride." "Boris Johnson said: 'What I also want to see is more work done to get motorists to understand that we are all going to be sharing the roads, going to be sharing it with cyclists.'" (= soon no-one will be able to afford petrol or a car!)
("This country is broke and we have to get it moving again. That's not going to happen with you in your jim-jams, not doing anything all day." - Nick Ferrari) www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8570369/Boris-Johnsons-50-bike-voucher-website-crashes-immediately-launch.htmlPerhaps Dominic needs a new gofer. His current one is quite obviously incompetent.

Porridge. Ride till brunch, full English at superstore. Ride till lunch, Greg's. Ride till mod afternoon snack. Whatever was available. Pub for beer and dinner. Saying that I came back quite thin. You really do burn the calories.

perhaps the fatties should learn the secret of spontaneous combustion .............................. on second thoughts the sight of smouldering fat bodies littering the streets, each emitting a cloud of foul black smoke might be too hard to bear.

Losing weight is simply about using more calories than you consume. So cycling the length of the country would certainly have an effect. A popular diet regime is the 'ketosis' plan - eliminate sugar and carbohydrate from the diet (which is much harder than it sounds) and your body will burn fat for energy instead. If you don't accept this google 'protein starvation'.
I recently had a go at this since I have more body fat than I like but quickly found that without exercise it works only very slowly. So I've bought a bike but it has nothing to do with Boris.

Can't say I've ever done either but I've always enjoyed a decent meal. The thing in the ketosis scenario I find hardest to accept is that fat is not only on the menu but is positively recommended.

Another way to 'diet' is to die and have worms eat you.

Perhaps you meant 'etymological'. But the answer in either case is no. However I read an article elsewhere that suggests the increased death rate seen lately is due to some sort of virus. But as any mutt will tell you, its all bollocks.
