But now you have to say "black", because "coloured" is racist. I feel I'm getting too old to keep up with this. |

I can still remember wee Eck meeting Fred a black lad that joined up with me as a boy soldier, Eck was touching him to see if he was real!! Eck called him Golly and it stuck, Fred didnt mind and called Eck big yin, things were easier in those days and real disagreements sorted out with boxing. Fred died some years later in a terrible accident we all came together for his funeral and of course on his coffin was a gollywog why? because we cared about him, he was a soldier and a bloody good one!!

On further reflection, I am sure this story is some type of hoax.
Mr Malcolm’s lawyer Dennis Di Mennis QC told Southend News Network that this could be a ‘huge moment’ in the fight against racial prejudice in modern British society.

Seriously, I have no problem at all with ginger-haired people, one of my sons is ginger and somehow I still manage to love the little bastard, God knows how. I'm even prepared to be seen out with him in public. |
