Oh hi all, just thought I'd nip in to say how delighted I am to be in such company. It's a rare day that you can use the word 'coon' now without some SJW getting all huffy. Don't worry about the fact that my brain hasn't yet worked out that satire has taken me for the idiot that I am, I'll catch up eventually.
Anyway, I'll leave you to it, I'm sure I'll be back the next time we are all huddled into our next group paki bashing, or just reverting to the default mass blame of gypsys.
Keep it clarkson you cunts

I think the only people we're really racist about on this site is trolls like you spouting their bitter bile. Get thee back to Canalworld and close the lid.

It's funny how you've been able to survive without any sane person standing on your throat. It's probably just as well that you live in the virtual world, because let's face it, you are fucked in real life.

He seems to do very well in the real world and doesnt hide who he is behind a virtual persona unlike yourself who couldnt even come up with an original user name in your trolling.

Funny the way that people think they can be anonymous on the net. Every word every utterance is traceable back to the computer that it comes from. Then the owner can have to account for those words.
Racism has only two causes both down to the government of the day in my opinion, fear and lack of knowledge.
If we go back to the 1950s, lol most of you can't, but try. The government for reasons of loyalty invited non ethnic people who had fought in the war to settle in the UK. Now they came with alacrity, seeing a better life etc. The indigenous population were in a bad way after the war and fearful for jobs, housing etc. So the hate campaigns started because the colour of the skins were different or the accent was different. So over 60 years later it continues.
Turn the clock back a hundred years and these same people were viewed more kindly where they arrived in small numbers. It was only with the religious problems that large numbers arrived and on the whole it was OK. Then came the 1930s and the English version of the Blackshirts trying to impose their version of Nazism on the UK.
On the whole we are a tolerant people welcoming of strangers in trouble only asking they adopted our ways and fit in with our views of life. Oh yes we do take things from the incomers but we do ask for integration. That is where I think the problem is today, large areas where the incomers have just brought their old life lock stock and barrel and not integrated with the indigenous population.
Maybe in another 100 year they will have.
Of course the less they integrate, the less they learn the language and customs the greater and longer the problems will go on.

And can we stop using terms like ginger, rustycrust, carrot top etc. The correct term is "people with awful red hair"

And can we stop using terms like ginger, rustycrust, carrot top etc. The correct term is "people with awful red hair" From my point of view no, I am a ginger or was, am, beautiful ginger hair, not red, but a colour that turned heads in the street and brought smiles and good comments. It was always well combed, except when I came out of the top of a tree. Then in my teens/twenties oh the girls loved it and the blue/green/hazel eyes that changed hue expressing my thoughts and mood, so some used to say. Fair skinned with freckles that came and went with the sun, as a lot of my life was spent in the tropics there a lot of the time. This morning, on the last day of my 74th year whilst trimming my beard, grey with the odd splash of ginger, between the top of the beard line and my hair were two flashes of a golden ginger. No I am happy to have been/to be a ginger one. A real one, not out of a bottle. Just think about the blonde's, brunettes etc many of who struggle to achieve from a bottle what I have/had naturally. So no people are or seem to be jealous of the natural genuine golden ginger. All inherited from the Vikings

I have some red hair if I grow a beard. Scottish genes I guess. Clan Morrison. Perhaps that's why I like backpacking amongst the fells of Lakeland, mountains in the blood. Or that's what I would be doing if we hadn't bought this blooming narrowboat!

We've only just bought it and done it up, cheeky sod! Cycle-touring and hiking in the fells is my thing, I think everyone here knows how we ended up on the canals. We can still ride bikes a bit as we have 2 on the boat. We have to concentrate on boating and canals now, for the next few years, sorry all, haha! It's actually just like camping (in our case) only the 'tent' is moving. I do like playing around with torches and lanterns in the dark. When we sell the boat I'll get back to the Wilds - Pennine Way, Coast-to-Coast, Southern Uplands Way all on my list, and I would very much like to cycle round Scotland and the length of Japan.

Dad fought all the way through from being a prisoner in occupied france, to escaping to fight in italy, france and germany the worst he said was monte casino dad was polish and learned english in the army and later down the pit. The thing is we needed young men then we dont really need them now as our little island is just not big enough to support the numbers living here now

The thing is we needed young men then we dont really need them now as our little island is just not big enough to support the numbers living here now It sounds as if your father was a lucky man. I lived through the majority of the war but only remember glimpses as a child. My father was part of the Air Ministry Inspectorate so we travelled all over the UK, until in 1943 they finally found a replacement for him. He joined up in 1942 and served until 1969. I am not sure I agree about not needing young people. But then we get into the discussion of who is going to support the pensions of the baby boom generation in the next few years. I think what we don't want is an incoming unskilled work force, we need skills but we need to somehow to enthuse a part of our population to get off their backsides and work at whatever they can do for a reasonable wage. lol Get off soap box. But I am sure that will enliven the conversation. Talk again tomorrow, got things to do and will be busy tomorrow back when I can
