Could well be genuine. When one has some knowledge on a subject, it's easy to assume that a person having total ignorance about it asking newbie questions is trolling, I had exactly the same suggestion made about me when I first joined CWDF, about a year before I finally bought my boat. Curiously, the person most vocal in making these suggestions is actually also a member of this forum, I won't say who but just think baked hedgehog and horse brasses.

Ah that explains a lot.......... in which case I apologise for calling you a troll back in 1806 or whenever it was, when in fact what I should have called you is an idiot that can't use Google....

(no sock puppets for me as they'd spot an ip-address from Finland in a second. However... with my Cheshire library card... hmm...!)

"What type of toilet do you want in your boat?"
"That's easy. Gold."
Strewth!

I can use Google, but as I am sure even a knuckle-dragging mouth-breather such as yourself can appreciate, there is unlikely to be any information to be found on Google about a specific narrowboat, whereas members of a canal forum may be able to provide that information. I think your defining "foot-in-mouth" moment was suggesting that I obviously wasn't serious about buying a boat, some 90 minutes before I put the deposit down and booked the survey on one. Classic!

Yada yada, I think actually I was the first to use the term 'knuckle dragger' when I aimed at you, so please get some original lines. BTW - you had that many 'foot in mouth moments' on CWDF they all just morph TBH. I can't even recall one that stands out from all the others. Cretin.
