naughtyfox I could do some fantastic willy waving with books on the East Anglian waterways - I won't though on account of the fact I'm not a show off π Somewhere about I have a copy of B.B's A summer on the Nene and this from a Certain Mr Bates of Rushden, Northamptonshire.

Β Strange to say, I made an Ebay purchase yesterday: Β Forget it, Britain is shut. I'm glad you still have enough pride in Englandland to not substitute the vowel in the last word I'm sure some less patriotic people would.

I know kris recommend Children of the Cape - Finally I'm most of the way through that after two weeks on the boat π

Another old book I love,is 'Katie My Roving Cat' by Frances Pitt.I have a lot of old books(including a set of Charles Dickens stories in miniature form),which my aged next door neighbours in Chester gave me when I was young. Two spinster sisters gave me birthday/Christmas gifts from their own belongings.I have deep red coral jewellery, china dolls with straw bodies and china hands/feet,lots of books, lace fans & pieces of china. One favourite doll is one dressed as Elizabth Fry.She has a delicate hanky which is signed Elizabeth Fry & I've always assumed it was sold as part of the doll & wasn't real.Maybe I'll get round to finding out one day.

(Incidentally .... not me with that book selection, must look out for it as I haven't read it)

kris and Rog - mine came from a book seller at Cranford Steam Rally for a couple of quid π "I could do some fantastic willy waving with books on the East Anglian waterways - I won't though" You might want to have a look at a map to see where Scapa Flow and East Anglia are in relation to each other.... Seeing as it is a book on salvaging the scuttled German Fleet from Scapa Flow your post is irrelevant therefore you score 0/10 - must try harder.
