But you're missing the point that this was always going to get permission regardless of who was president. Obama supported it but wanted some rerouting. Others may say disposing of a long drawn out affair quickly is a good idea. A proposal he had made before being president. The protests happened during Obama's presidency. I think the natives were fairly supportive of the notion of re-routing. Yes, some of the protest occurred during Obama's time, and they were successful. But the shit hit the fan when Trump became president. So a death and 300 odd injuries at the previous protest is what, of little relevance. Why is it only an issue during Trumps time? Every president has at some point done something for personal gain, Obama only violated the constitution on at least ten occasions. Why are we judging Trump, he's doing what they all did.

It doesn’t really matter what others may say. It was atrocious how it was done. Trump personally benefitted financially which is disgusting whichever way you look at it. OK, let's change it. I say its good practice to dispose of something that is starting to become a big issue, something he said he would do before becoming president, I can't see why anyone can be shocked that it happened. I'll agree it maybe disgusting and a bit unethical but an atrocity. He had a small amount of shares before and purchased some more after. Realistically anyone could have done the same and probaly did. I expect someone of Trumps wealth has many shares all over the place.

Much the same goes for many 'rich' people. Puppets!

Even if it was rerouted to everyones satisfaction and it took until the next president to sign it off, Trump still would have benefitted. Would that have been ok or not?

I think it is a bit worse than you suggest - will wait and see though - once he is roundly defeated in the election some lenders might pull the plug (I doubt it though as they already have worked out the money isn't there...).

So by your logic it’s okay to keep polluting the planet if you say your going to do it and you do it quickly. The point is as a species we should be weaning ourselves off burning it all. I meant for this to be an edit but it will do like this.

Doing something that the whole world does and has done for a very long time is now atrocious. I think that maybe a different argument and definitely not one I have commented on.

Is he personally facing bankruptcy or are his businesses the ones that will be affected. Is his personal cash at risk?

Doubt he is so stupid to risk personal bankruptcy - but never say never when it comes to Trump.
