I just don't get why we cannot buy books .. Walking through the Mumbles yesterday and it was like a Ghost Town on a Saturday but the off licence was open at top of the hill..so u can get stupidly drunk but u cannot buy a book to distract your mind and fill the hours living alone.... Ah well suppose I'll have to drink my way out of isolation.

Ah well suppose I'll have to drink my way out of isolation. Did you see the article about the Welsh man who went to Tesco's in his underpants ... as "clothes are non-essential"? Books and clothes are not allowed at the moment, as people will pick them up, thumb through them / try them on in the changing room, take them home, return them if they are 'the wrong size' (after they've been out the previous evening in them!). The (non-existent) virus will spread like wildfire. Alcohol is 'essential' as the inside of your throat and stomach needs sterilising of the virus. Books are dangerous and can lead to heretic thoughts. Ironic, isn't it, that China's economy is booming - the very country that sent Covid over here.

What are the odds against Drakeford receiving a pair of heavily soiled underpants in the post?

It's totally bonkers having vast swathes of supermarkets cordoned off/covered up. If I were the Welsh I'd be making a right old fuss now ... I did see an article pop up about a bloke kicking off and ripping the plastic sheeting off and I'm surprised that more folk haven't been revolting yet. I suppose it's only a matter of time.
And lets see how that mad Scottish woman is going to follow suit soon - her and her FIVE tier approach ffs.
If I see a rabbit hole, I'm jumping straight down it!

I'm surprised that more folk haven't been revolting yet. Jim Riley will be along when he wakes up to say "The Welsh are revolting". I have read that "lockdowns don't work". I can understand this 'firebreak' of two weeks in Wales (is it all parts?) .. but, it's not really going to work when people are still allowed to mingle inside shops buying food, fags and booze, is it? Not being allowed to finger 'non-essential' items could help to prevent the spread of this imaginary virus (or.. is it real?.. you decide!) but people are still breathing in those shops / at the bus stop / in the train... As I have said before, I think the best answer could be for everyone to stay at home (if possible), and the government to have essentials delivered to dwellings. But then... we know that people are going to sneak round to their mates, and, as people keep saying, the virus is still waiting for you when you get 'released'. My biggest wonder is why people aren't protesting outside Chinese embassies - "Give us compensation!". Or was it really the CIA who dropped that phial in the wet market in Wuhan.... we shall never know. Time for your 'vaccinations'! Almost ready!

Have a little peruse at this seems like we are not Have a little peruse at this, it seems like you are! "At the time this post appeared there had been 31,855 Covid-19 deaths reported in the UK, compared with 628 in Japan. The Japanese population is 126 million, and the UK population is 66 million." did you ever pass any exam at school which required you to comprehend a piece of text?
the link provided clearly shows that we (UK) are not as bad as Spain and Belgium.
comparing our rate with one country of your choosing does not impact on the claim that has been refuted.

It shows that the Japanese have got it under some kind of control, whereas the UK joke-of-a-government haven't. I expect, also, that starving kids of meals (thanks, Rishi!) will lower their immunity to disease. What a caring government.
Being 'not as bad as Spain and Belgium' is hardly something to be proud of.
