As for spite, had Tony been prepared to listen to my advice which was freely offered, then he would still have his boat, wouldn't he? So I can't be that spiteful if I did everything I could reasonably be expected to do to stop him getting his boat siezed. Thank fuck you’ve never had, or are unlikely to have dealings with crt. And why do you think that might be then?

Thank fuck you’ve never had, or are unlikely to have dealings with crt. And why do you think that might be then? Simple, you look after no 1, (like many). I’ve never had trouble with crt, but I’m one of those that likes to do my bit in ensuring others can share in years to come what we have now. It’s obviously not a priority for you, but attempting to belittle someone who cares and feels they should make a stand for what they believe in, just shows you up as a tosser.

I hate the BS scheme.
I dread it. Not joking I hate it more than anything else in the world.
They brought it in in 1995 as if they knew I had just arrived on boats. I started in 1994.
Since then I have had several different boats but always hated the BS scheme with a vengeance. It's the worst thing since sliced bread. However I have always continued, like a fool, to get it done and pay for the licenses. What a twat.
Never considered bypassing it using the exemption though. That's quite a clever scam but it didn't work did it.

This pre-supposes that I give any weight to your opinions whatsoever and in this assumption I regret to advise you that you are sadly mistaken. Quite frankly I don’t give a toss whether you give any weight to my posts or not. The fact is, my posts on these subjects are based on experience, yours are nothing more than spiteful swipes at someone you’ve taken a dislike to. A bit pathetic, but it is a forum, so each to their own. I haven't made any spiteful swipes at Tony and as I've never met him I have no opinion about him sufficient to arouse dislike. I have stated that he is largely the architect of his own misfortune. I stand by that statement.

Obviously someone at BW got wind of your coming and had good foresight. It's taken them a long time and the latest twist is that the boat they have put on the S8 waiting list now has a 12 month "rivers only" license on it which goes from 31 January 2021 to 31 January 2021 and my card was debited for £38. That's for a 40x9ft boat. Work that one out. I think it must have been Evangeline who dealt with this one on my behalf as I did not authorise that payment and CRT blocked me from renewing the license on that particular boat. Fun and games. Anyway I hopefully won't be doing a 28th year on the ditches. Unless that awful addiction gets the better of me.

My mate reckons an MOT is worse than going the dentist - at least with the dentist you know it’s going to hurt and cost money, with an MOT you may as well flip a coin 🧐🤦🏼♂️

It was no fluke that I let the Saab go and bought that Ignis. Saab had one day left on the MoT, EML was on and idle was all over the place. MoT hell. I don't do dentists but I hate the MoT almost to the point of shaking and no I am not joking.

I seem to recall it was the stove that was the problem with the BS exemption on that boat.
You don't need any ventilation that's just an advisory but they do insist that if there is a fuel burning appliance it must be installed safely and secured.
A boat with a solid fuel stove will be subject to the BS scheme requirements even if it has nothing else in it.

Yes, Tony's argument was always that he didn't need a BSS as he only had one item which was subject to testing under BSS requirements and let's face it, to any rational person that thesis is a bit of a non-starter.

No Tony was claiming he could have an exemption to a BSS because he complied with all the requirements of CRT's published list
