A PBC is the same thing that CRT and BW before them call a "Rivers only license". It won't cost any more because it is called a "license". Licence. And, I thought the difference was that you could add VAT to a licence, but a PBC is exempt?

One would presume the plan is to go back to court and accuse CRT of contempt of court because they didn’t issue a pleasure boat certificate as the court had ordered. Its all about two little words - '...as appropriate...' Did the court specifically order CRT to issue a PBC? I don't think so. 'As appropriate' - in this case, would a PBC not be 'appropriate'? If not, why not? (I do remember the fact that a PBC has never ever been issued... but they exist in law / Acts of Parliament).

(1) Was Tony telling fibs about his boat's eligibility for exemption? Demonstrably. (2) when he ran out of things to not co-operate with he turned to vandalism and reckless endangerment instead. 1: I have no reason to believe Tony has lied about anything concerning this issue. Can you point us to his (alleged by yourself) lies? I am beginning to think your first name is Richard and your surname rhymes with Scarry. You do label yourself as 'nemesis' after all... 2: What vandalism and reckless endangerment would this be? I mean, in your mind? 3: South Park on Channel 4 this evening 8.30pm - don't miss it!!

If not, why not? Stop asking such imbecilic rhetorical questions. The court seems be happy with 'as appropriate' to accommodate the issue of a licence, however much you or anyone else dislikes it. I would love to see the assertion of the county to be tested in the high court, except that possibility seems to have been sabotaged.

"Something to do with a boat being set adrift" ... now you reckon Tony himself cut the ropes to 'Selby Michael' just so's he could blame CRT for any damage an out-of-control steel tub could manage? Your evidence being..... zilch!

Thank goodness my boss doesn't know I'm an idiot.. I had real, live people on board my bus today! Scary thoughts! Still, they said 'Thank You' when they got off.... thank you for sparing our lives I think they meant! I have bought a pumpkin to place in the bus next week, it will have a scary face and LED lights inside (diffused by baking paper). And a rubber spider hanging down by the door at a height to brush people's faces as they board. It's Halloween soon!

Hi, forgive the intrusion but was passing by Barton yesterday and saw a commotion on a boat called Halcyon Daze. I was curious about if the gentleman was ok because of the police being there and googled the boat and found this forum. Please don't think me nosy but wanted to see if the man was OK. Can anyone let me know

Equally the court seems to be happy with a Pleasure Boat Certificate being issued. However much you dislike it. This is a fair point. The court left it to CRT to decide what is appropriate. What a shame we're never going to get there. But if I were the betting sort I know which way I'd go. FYI, I neither like nor dislike it. "Something to do with a boat being set adrift" ... now you reckon Tony himself cut the ropes to 'Selby Michael' just so's he could blame CRT for any damage an out-of-control steel tub could manage? Your evidence being..... zilch! The ropes were not cut, a point which TD went to some lengths to emphasise, as well as an old rule concerning responsibility which hardly anyone must be aware of these days. And no, this does not constitute proof but it does stink of shit.
