Looks like he needed to deploy the anchor. I imagine the bridge is a foot bridge, so not suitable for driving over.

Heha, could he have gone over the bridge that swang into view? I rather hpoe so, I'm not an off road fan. Why used to do the Strata Florida drovers route in Powys, it runs offroad diagonally between the Tregaron to Abergwysn road and comes out at the Strata Florida abbey at Pontrhydfendigaid plenty of people got the numerous water crossings wrong! Even the premier welsh lady rider Katrina Price fell foul of one of the crossings on a particularly bad year, she made the front cover of the following years programme; headlight under water but with the faintest glimmer of light showing, in its death throes! This is the common in Llandrindod Wells June 2007 - it was an absolute quagmire - imagine what the going was like with all the water flowing off the hills! Tough year that. On a hill near Rhayader - Iβm the monkey clinging on to the chair π There is an art in fording water, I never attempt it in the car, Iβd rather make a huge detour. The bikes were a bit less agro, particularly two strokes as there is no risk of hydraulic lock, that and you can push a bike out a bit easier than a car or van! Me tired and full of flu at Mr Jeromeβs farm Hardwick. The Honda became known as the submarine due to its phenomenal underwater performance, seen here exiting one of the very deep water crossings at Arm Farm Blisworth Wild and Woolly Boxing Day scramble Different year, different bike, much worse weather- same event, This Suzuki RM250 went like hell, I DNF due to an oversight during prep, the kickstart had a bit of wear in it that allowed it to lean away from the motor when it was being kicked up, no problem with a raring to go rider not covered in gloop, not so useful when you are shagged out, covered in gloop and you stall it. Eventually I gave up being worn out by trying to start the bike rather Than being worn out riding it!

Park up, head on on foot for a brew to wherever he was headed for, explain the situation and work out your options from there. He gets 10/10 for bravery But he also gets 10/10 for stupidity!
