The kindle is similar to a paper page, but little things like physical bookmarks, flicking pages, telling by the pages either side of the spine as to how far to the end are all missing. It took me a while to get used to it, some never do. Advantages for boating are that it takes no space and you can download another book so long as you can tether to your phone/WiFi etc. Now I am used to it I prefer it. It is also easier on the eyes than a bright screen, especially in low light, and it is comfortable to read in bright light.

I use the App on my phone, Mrs twbm has the Paperwhite. Both are fine most of the time, but the Paperwhite is way better in sunlight.

Also, books download in a few seconds, if you join prime you get free books, and if you join kindle unlimited you get to borrow a wide range of books also.
