Well tired n chilling tonight so more update. I said previous that i had good findings and thius is it. When i got the boat i knew it needed a bit of work and as always i look at it being the worst. I had planned on a complete interior refit, new bulkheads and all wood etc. Now tuther week i though i would dig into the bulkheas more and see how bad they are. Now to my joy, not a surprise now as the boat was great when laid up some 6 years or so ago, the bulkheads are not that bad. All those are just top lam/veneer has delaminated. There is one bad area and that being the main bulkhead which will be ripped out ad replaced. the rest will be fettled and recovered in what ever i choose to as yet not decided. either veneer again or a very good materaili have still from when i built Khashoggi. it used on newer Fairlines so good stuff, a friend sent it me who built his wee boat, this is one of them so if its good enough for this then its good enough for mine lol. So plan is to remove all bad wood and replace with epoxy or other good filler then redo the surface. As saidf the makin bulkhead is a gonner. This weekend i hope to get an engine running. but need a set of HT leads and hope the points are good, got new plugs though.

Yes, we’ve got them in 5.5T and 7.5T Hyster lifts, good old workhorses 👍 run well on LPG Got a 3.0 GM 4 cylinder in a 2.5 T truck too - a mate of mine had a Mercruiser version of it - seawater slowly ate it from the inside out!

Got a list of whats needed now as i know of as the ignition system. need doing anyway no matter what. then when the engines are out ill see what the compression is on the good one and dig into the dodgy engine to see what is needed there as in new valves or what ever. i was going to sort the gantry today but not up to it so all set now for next weekend to widen the gantry and maybe even take an engine or two out. feeling motivated now again

Of course I remain in awe of your skills, but great to see a pure boaty post Rog Moving house gives plenty of distractions! well done faffer - those drive plates are a bit hillbilly! R&D Are brilliant, they are pretty good on the technical side of things so if you struggle to find what you want online give them a call and order direct from them. www.randdmarine.com/mdamper.aspBTW dogless , be careful what you wish for, we yanked the dead Kubota out of Northern Star yesterday, I’ve got the gearbox in the back of my car........🤪🍻👍
