The blue sea ones look okay but they are about £80 each with covers which is just too much.

Yes if I was starting from scratch my system would be 24v or even 48v but it’s not it’s 12v so I have to live with that. In reality I probably never draw 250amp, but it’s what it’s fused at. Looking at those loddon posted a link to, I think I’ll make a couple I’ve got some copper bar. It’s how it insulate the positive one.

What about using M5 antivibration mounts for the elecrical isolation?
About £2.50 for 4 from China or twice that from UK. cheap and durable.
I don't know if it is 100% an insulator but don't see why not.
