The guy on the left in the beige coat is Tasnime Akunjee, who is Shamima Begum's lawyer. He's worked previously with the Imam leading these protests, Mohammed Pandor, who just happens to be the brother of Shabir Pandor, Labour leader of Kirklees Council. What a cosy little world.

It seems odd that blasphemy aimed at the established, majority (albeit waning, admittedly) religion is good sport for all while on the other hand, people who have the temerity to blaspheme against a minority, non established, imported religion should leave the blasphemer living in fear for their lives. Not only odd, it seems amazing that this is tolerated, in any way at all. I think the teacher must have had some idea it wouldn't go down well with some of the locals. However,he should be allowed the freedom to encourage stimulating debate amongst his students.I've read that a fair few of the protesters are trouble-makers who don't even have children at the school. The same thing happened at a school in Brum where folk were protesting about sex education lessons. There are times when I wonder just what country I'm living in... I find it frightening that these people can cause so much trouble

I find it frightening that any religion that teaches hatred is tolerated in modern civilisation.
The 3 Abrahamic religions should be banned for a start.

Alhamdullilah.
And I was like "these people kiss the ground"
Well they actually don't but some of them bang their foreheads on the ground enough to cause permanent skin damage.
And it is all taken very seriously.

I've met the occasional vicar who was keen on discussing the history of the beginnings of Christianity. They all know that stuff having studied theology at degree level. Hugely interesting subject. One example - the Christian concept of the devil and hell only came into the landscape about three centuries after the first bible was written.
The stuff about not depicting Mohammed is an add-on by religious leaders. There is nothing in the holy book about it (or so I hear).

The point is that this stuff is dreamt up by people who claim to have authority. Yes I know Mohammed isn't a part of the Christian dialogue, I merely mentioned the 'not depicting Mohammed' part as a contrast. Gee.

You are definitely not taking this seriously.
Mohammed is not a Christian. He never was and never will be. The idea is simply preposterous.
Take care of your head here. We would not want it to be cut off.
It is obvious to normal people what you meant but we are not dealing with normal people. We are dealing with people who believe in weird shit.
Be careful. These walls have eers.

....... unfortunately I can't remember where I saw this........ However if this is in fact true then all those objecting should be told to do one
