Anyone remember this from 2 April this year, . . it appears to have missed its intended publishing deadline by one day : -- < www.crowdjustice.com/case/protect-boats-homes/ > The latest 'update' on the crowdjustice website - number 9 from 19 September 2021 - would be more accurately described as an admission that this latest application for Judicial Review of C&RT's extra-statutory Licence T&C's is effectively over before it ever got started for precisely the same reasons that the previous application for JR of C&RT's attempts to re-write statute failed at first hearing on 19 February 2014, when the presiding Judge held that in the absence of any current Licence T&C's enforcement proceedings before any Court, that "it would be very difficult for the Court to adjudicate the matter in the abstract." Here it is in full : - Update 9 -19 September 2021 (to be read bending over forward with legs suitably spaced apart) : -- "We are extremely grateful to all the supporters who have made donations to this appeal. There has not been very much to report since the last update at the end of June. The appeal has been paused and may be wound up soon. This will not prevent us opening another appeal to continue the case if we believe this is necessary and appropriate. We have used the remainder of the funds to seek further advice from a senior Barrister regarding Canal & River Trust’s (CRT) response to our second Pre-Action Protocol letter.
Our lawyers Community Law Partnership have also written to CRT asking why it has not implemented its decision to revert to the previous wording of Clause 5.4 in the new terms and Conditions (previously Clause 4.1 in the 2020 version).
We believe that we have reached the limit of what this legal challenge can achieve without an individual claimant who can be added to the case. This is because CRT has made it clear that it will demand the appointment of an individual as an additional claimant as a condition of permission being granted to bring a Judicial Review of the changes to the Boat Licence Terms and Conditions. We are therefore seeking an individual boat dweller (who is eligible for Legal Aid so on a low income) who is willing and able to take on this role.
If you think you might be able to do this, or know someone who may, please contact our lawyers on their Travellers Advice Line 0121 685 8677 (open Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm). Thank you!"

Somebody had a go at taking on CRT and it didn't get the response they required?
You should join them Tony, be right up your street.

Did you spot it when you went to make a contribution? They obviously need a Sacrificial Ram, someone with a boat, it probably doesn't need to be floating, someone with a grudge against CRT. Is there anyone you might recommend?

Other than the NBTA, who for obvious reasons are well known to many thousands of pleasure boaters, . . I don't know who ' the people involved' are, . . but it sounds as if you do ! So, . . who are these mysterious people who hide behind a description of themselves as a " coalition of boat dwellers, the National Bargee Travellers Association and other support organisations" ? Is the fact that they're still inviting donations some 6 weeks after saying that the appeal had been "paused" connected in any way with their continuing anonymity ?

It was you who introduced the crowdjustice funding appeal by this " coalition of boat dwellers, the National Bargee Travellers Association and other support organisations" onto Thunderboat originally, . . on 2 April this year, . . and you provided a link straight to the crowdjustice funding page. I reckon that, at the very least, you owe those who took what you said in good faith, and contributed to the appeal, an explanation of why their money was spent so ineffectually, . . precisely who spent it so ineffectually, . . and why, whoever they are, they're still holding their hands out for yet more cash, . . six weeks after stating that the appeal had been "paused".

Try spending a few moments reading up on it, . . as a more constructive alternative to parading your ignorance on the internet.

Dunkley, you’re a complete fuckin idiot who has done nothing other than lose two boats, with a third being in the pipeline. For this reason, any opinion you have is nothing more than rambling from an idiot. Idiot.
