I'm wondering if Delta9 managed to sell his carpet cleaning business? I'm thinking of getting my carpets deep-cleaned and obviously he's the "go-to" man for a carpet/ cleaner interface situation. Or if not then any recommendations for a suitable operative in the CV23 area who can work without mains power- I have a 2.2 kW generator but no idea how power-hungry a steam cleaner is.
TIA.

It's quite a small boat. Would it not be better to just buy new carpets for it?
I don't know what the chosen solution was but those square things are quite common on boats and very practical.
You can get them in all sorts of colours. Possibly even pink?

I've done it once and there are all sorts of complicated things to cut around. Besides which... "Lord Finchley tried to mend the Electric Light Himself. It struck him dead: And serve him right! It is the business of the wealthy man To give employment to the artisan".

A good solution on a boat; painted deck boards and the sort of carpet mat you see in offices which are rubber-backed. You can hose them off if they get muddy.

Yes this is what Dulcinea has on the cabin sole. Pressure washer works well on them. They are a slightly boring dark green. At some point I will grasp the nettle and get some more gaily coloured ones perhaps orange

Wales is clearly the place to be, evidenced by the mass movement of Thunderboaters from Englandshire to the promised land.

Sod that, left there 9 years ago... Oh? I like it here. Reckon I could leave my door unlocked, apart from during the tourist season, when this place resembles a West Midlands zoo. I've never felt that in England, the prospect of being victim to a crime always felt around the corner and the feeling came true, many times.
