Picking a boat up next week from Croxley green GU and delivering to Caen hill marina . 133 mile 121 locks. Need to be off the Thames by the 1st of November due to stoppages and past Woolhampton lock by the 7th. I will be using available day light and a bit of the dark stuff!

Wow that's quite a trip bOatman, are you doing the K&A alone on the WB? reason I ask, is we did the K&A on ours the summer before last and I found the locks to be a real struggle, ended up me biting the bullet and getting to a comfortable state with the tiller and Dave working the locks and some of the more beastly swing bridges...there's a couple of them that are a real pain in the arse (well actually more of a pain in the arms, legs & back more so than the arse) At least this time of year you shouldn't be fighting the overgrown reed beds as much!
