Metanoia might be interested to know that the whole of Australia only has one accent. If that's true (an Australian told me this) it seems very odd. Think that might be load of xxxx? I'll drink to that(but not Castlemaine).

There maybe some truth in Aussie, there is some difference in various areas but nothing like the variation we have.
Although they mostly speak Australian English I don't think they actually have an official language.

I quite like the old school east London accents.
Most of east London has been annexed by furriners but there are still a few real old school types who didn't move to Becontree. It's nice to hear them even if they are generally rather overweight with dodgy tattoos. One must not be judgemental.

Estuary English that people think is Essex but it isn't
It's a mixture of East Enders with a dash of Thicky Dicky from Billericay and chav.
As moy 'arfordshire friends would say "a bunch of proize soize baaarsterds"

I was going to be judgmental but decided to be judgemental instead.

I like most accents thought I find some voices grate...but is that accent? There are a few individuals I just switch off to, but that could be the tone as apposed to accent. I like to sit and listen in places where accents are so broad that its hard to understand what they say
Havn't considered this before so I needs must do some research My daughter absorbs whatever accent is in the area she's living. Grandson for some strange reason atm has a distinct American one. I dunno if this is because his mum only speaks in Polish to him so his 'English' is influenced by other elements or could be that his dads choices of xbox games they play are all American.
