Been supping co-op beer, brewed by Robinson's in Manchester and it's really rather good. It was also on offer where I got it so cheap as well๐

It is great when you can find decent beer at sensible prices
I mean I don't mind paying a bit extra to support "local" but if it's good and cheap as well, that really is a bonus

I've been erring on the side of cider recently. Drinking a bit less so morning agro not so common. Normally if I have cider and get a hangover I go for beer the next day. Swap around etc. But on balance I am very much a cider drinker as do not like the taste of beer.
Also not a connoisseur.

Never !
The worst I have ever had is Weakbow.
Definitely not interested in the strong rubbish.
On the other hand Londis Co-Op in Lechlade had a deal on Weston's 8% vintage cider yesterday. That does go down well !

White lightning and vodka were what a friend was tippling when we managed to get him a place in a drying out centre. Wouldn't like to go through that myself. Mind you, when he lapsed for a while after his mum died he dried out at our place, having got the thiamin? from the docs. Now been dry for years.

Had a few diamond whites when I was a teenager. Couldn't touch the stuff nowadays.

My first introduction to night clubs at 19 came in the form of Diamond white, "K" and castaways... I seem to recall mixing the diamond white and castaways together (blastaways?) - there was also something called "20-20" which had the ability to make me dance... the fact I COULDN'T (still can't) didn't seem to matter after a few of those - Oddly enough, Newki brown had the same effect in a reasonable quantity.
I noticed the other day that Spoons now serves TySke ... isn't that one of Stabbys drinks?

Tyskie is only about 5 or 6 percent.
I think Mrs Tabby prefers stronger stuff. I've never tried it but wasn't it Mocna?

I don't drink it any more but found it was one of the more palatable strong ciders. Cheap as well. The apple version by the way, the pear one is too sweet, vile.

Only thing I have ever bought in Home Bargains was smoke less coal.
As for palatable strong cider the one Lidl bottled west country cider for ยฃ1.15 (500ml) at 7.4% is pretty good. Only thing is it puts me to sleep.

I don't mind the Brazier myself. Yes it produces a lot of shite but I really like the ease of handling with the 10kg bags. Homefire is another one you can get in 10kg bags but that's a load of crap now as well. Too much binder and dust.
Does keep the boat warm though.
