The thread in question indicates VERY CLEARLY that Clinton Cool removed the engine under your direction ... because he was younger, fitter, and more able to get in there to do it. Quite frankly I quoted the post to demonstrate this, in the hope it would 'put the matter to bed' finally. That went well didn't it. I have no involvement, knowledge or indeed interest in the ongoing pathetic saga. Rog Ricco posted; Well the engine is out now. Many thanks to Mr Stabby who hauled the boat to the lock while I made a futile effort to steer it with my pole, due to the silt being about 3 feet deep. The yard had the engine out in 2 minutes, very impressive. A fork lift truck and chains, bit of manouvering past the exhaust, it was out, and now is on my stern deck. The latest frustration is that there are no timing marks on the crankshaft pulley. It never rains, it pours.
The way I have read the Broken Down thread is that the intention was to remove the engine with Tony in attendance, but as he was unavailable other arrangements were made.
Additionally there is criticism of Tony's advise to take the engine out, but as the piston rings needed to be replaced surely the sump needed to be removed to allow this, which means the engine did need to come out.

Does it really now matter what happened about an engine that went on a deck? I just cannot understand why this subject matter continues to dominate threads.... or the other subject matter which I won't mention just in case I become a target.... Let it all go.... Get out in the glowing days of Autumn Ooooh, where is that song when you need it ?π Well neither of us have the ability to put this song in where we see its needed.... maybe just as well

2017 ... four years ago Rog Four years, . . yes, well done, . .your arithmetic knocks your ability to follow or understand plain written English into a cocked hat ! Four years ago means it's four years overdue for the record to be put straight, . . and for an end to the libellous garbage with which mindless scum such as Mr Stabby, JJ (or whatever false ID it's using this week), and Kris, constantly smother and obscure any serious topics that they're too perverse or simple-minded to follow or understand, . . all with the ever willing assistance of easily led-by-the-nose people like you, and the rest of Thunderboat's dimmest.

well done for digging out that. It certainly puts a very different slant on things compared to some posts

Seven days later, on 8th September, Ricco posted; Update on this: the yard dropped the engine back in this morning, they allowed me to put all the bits back on it, save some cash. I don't really know what I'm doing but worked from memory, from when I took it all apart. Some bits were a bastard to get back on but perseverence sorted it out. Finally had it all back together, wired up, new coolant in, ready to give it a go. Initially it struggled but then I realised I hadn't turned the fuel tap back on Tried again, the engine fired up and ran sweetly. Sorted!
So I don't know where the engine left on the aft deck for 3 weeks allegations came from. As others have said, this is 4 years ago, definately time to let it go, it is fake news.
