I can't see your pics at the moment Wayne, But I sometimes have fun with my connection here. Hopefully I will get them appearing later .... May 18Th .... sounds good ....I will just have to make sure I am free to travel then ..... I've been waiting for this launch a long time now !!! it's absolutely ages since you first appeared with the pictures of that forlorn heap in the field Hi John, sorry not a clue what happend there but i tried again, it wa with i did wrong i think a si couldnt se them either. I say May 18th as that is what i am planning for but i dont mind if it goes over a month or so and funds will be tight, got a lot on with the house now aswell you see. And yep, four years now it been OMG, my wife is a diamond lol. Does this say that you want to come to the launch ?? It's good to see that you're still on the job Wayne and making progress, even if it's not going as quick as you would like it to go, you'll get there in the end. Once the boat is finished, are you selling her ? I mean the boat of course, as you should keep your diamond wife, as that kind of wife is very hard to find . Good luck mate, Peter.

Hi Peter Never off, just when i feel able to or time etc etc. As we know with these project they can double triple in time scale to be done. I am just over a year behind what i set to do. As for selling it, cant do until i have used it for a good season atleast....unless a real another boat comes along. Be daft to sell it to soon though. Yes she is a good one, never complains so reason i have stated the house for her. Thats harder than doing the boat, i dont trust anybody to do thing for me as always done my own thing, Its easy to get carried away with expanding foam.....should have seen my walls post me attempting to fill in holes at Horror House...the painter and decorator sorted that fiasco out... Its looking good.... Patty, do we live in the same house, last week we had new windows fitted, i didnt fit them as couldnt be bothered and for the price we paid no point in doing so. I fitted anew front door and well more foam come to hand, i completely covered up the door first as other wise T would of defo not been happy if i covered it in expanding foam lol. And looks like its me doing the driveway now, 46sqm to block pave AARRrrrrrrrr, if i can cope that is. Have a good day yall, off to bloody work, not that bad really

I still have about 4 tins of expanding foam left........son did wonder whether to use some in his van conversion but I think having heard what It can do has decided against it. I'm wondering whether to donate tins to a friend who fits boats out and really hates the stuff...it has this 'never again' quality about it

I'm wondering whether to donate tins to a friend who fits boats out and really hates the stuff...it has this 'never again' quality about it Patty its the best stuff ever ....iF you can control it lol Hi all, hope you all enjoying your boating, me, well still faffing about here I was a little peeed off a few week back as i tried a new supplier for some pattern material and fittings which took six days to get here and still waitng for a few parts to arrive after paying over the norm for delivery. I will not be using Snuggtopz again as they are complete useless and unprofessional. So in the mean time i have got on with the internal vanishing and lining out. I used a hi temp spray adhesive as we dont want it falling off or coming loose on the real hot summer we get a lot of in the UK......a little sarcy there lol. I did mess up a little on the varnishing as the front panel where the sockets are i ended up with a few runs. I used a foam roller and flatted out with foam brush. I think i was just rushing, No big deal a quick sand otu of the runs and another quick coat will do the job. All the rest is good Looking better now. All was varnished with Len Tonkinois. Solid wood three coats and veneered was two coats. Used this adhesive Next up is to finish the hatch surround and then i can line the front panel and under the front deck. Still more to varnish on the cupboard door frame sas they are solid Sapele so need three coats at least. I just want a good few days to crack on with this canopy. I got Fibretex pattern material as the sheet i was using was either to tin and stretched or to thick. And I thought I was bad sniffing banda fluid in my youth & whiteboard pens in later years... The only good thing about early whiteboards was sniffing the pens. A few raised eyebrows from the students! Using whiteboards was so much dirtier than a proper blackboard. The blackboard (NOT chalkboard) was merely dusty.

Hi all. just a quick update I am in for the operation on May so all that month i will not be doing much so this new few weeks i am getting ready for the BSS, only a few jobs to be done. A few lower bulkhead grommet plates need making and fitting for the cables and pipe work to go through tonights job, I have enclosed the LPG pipe as that runs through the battery area under the deck. And then vent the battery charger locker. I need to find a tap for the heads so that can be tested properly but that an two min job. I have just got all the fenders, ropes, bilge pump ( need to fit then once the boat is afloat ) bulkhead fittings for the sinks more cleats. and pipe work for the bilge and sink drains. Last week i did the job i was putting off but as that was needed for the BSS i got on with it. You may remember the ply i used for the rear deck that i had to redo years ago well i got it from wicks ( BIG mistake i know ) well that fell apart and i also used for the seat lockers which house the LPG and petrol tank/s. redone it in 7mm GRP i made up. So the BSS work is a days work at most but then its the sanding and prep to paint afetr i am through with the op, So i have the firt few eeks of June to get it painted for the launch on the 24th June fro my birthday prezzie to me ( 23rd is the big day really lol ) I have it boked in for then with the crane. Oh and when i am off in May i will be doing the canopy even though once handed it will have to be done. So its been 4 years now and its going back in after near 20 years on dry land, i think she deserves it
