Sigh,I remember this place pre TD days.A place where you could have a laugh, blaspheme & generally troll a few members with no strings attached... Cue Mary Hopkin-'Those Were The Days'.I'm sure someone will oblige but pretty certain it won't be Unkle Dunkle. *He'll be out working as one of the scary Santas. He's a bit tedious but the whole point of Thunderboat is that it's an unmoderated forum so we just have to let him get on with it. Normally, peer reviews would be enough to moderate his posts but Tony does seem to be a bit thick-skinned. You'd think the fact that nobody likes you would be enough of a hint but apparently not. Saved to file.

My mother used to play this song. It's a good song to be fair. A bit of a whinge but quality voice.

Sigh, I remember this place pre TD days. ... ... ... No, you don't, . . you're inventing rather than remembering. In what you call - "pre TD days", Thunderboat was barely five weeks old, . . and your membership began only four clear days prior to my joining on 12 May 2016. Back then the membership consisted almost entirely of people either banished from CWDF for no good reason, or disenchanted enough with it to look for alternative. For the next four years or so this forum began to grow in reputation and stature, . . until it was hijacked and turned into a passable clone of CWDF by a small clique of self-important and remarkably stupid contributors, of which you are one long-standing member, who all pandered exclusively to their own misplaced fragile egos, and their own profound ignorance. More recently, the sheer stupidity of this blinkered clique has succeeded only in making the Thunderboat into easy pickings for the even more destructive and ultimately fatal attentions of scum such as Mr Shit-for-Brains, Kris, and the multiple ID'd parasite who single-handedly wrecked the ACC, and goes under the name of Jd for the present. It is in the direction of these three specimens that you should point the finger of guilt, . . if you want to apportion blame for the decline and impending demise of the Thunderboat forum !

I don't reckon this forum ever had the "stature" that you refer to.
It's always been quite light hearted, a bit of boat info here and there but never a serious contender for "database of the year".

I don't reckon this forum ever had the "stature" that you refer to. It's always been quite light hearted, a bit of boat info here and there but never a serious contender for "database of the year". A light hearted approach to appropriate subject matter, . . or a serious, technically correct, and practical approach to material demanding such an approach are NOT mutually exclusive. Thunderboat has never been allowed to develop a name or reputation as somewhere to go where content of either sort will be met with a wholly appropriate response. The mindless self-indulgence of the CWDF style clique of forum hi-jackers has made sure of that. Inconsequential and frequently mindless trivia is invariably welcomed, and responded to in kind. Serious issues or queries, on the other hand, generally attract either feigned indifference, or ridicule borne out of profound ignorance. If the originator of the query is especially lucky, of course, they could even find themselves in receipt of some really crap advice from the forum's keyboard 'experts', . . or recommended to seek help from someone called 'Wayne'. You don't have to look very far for a prime example of how a serious technical issue is dealt with by Thunderboat's most mindless , . . just go back to the early pages of this thread. Much to say on a subject they clearly have no practical experience of, and know next to nothing of.
