This is mostly for me to keep a blog of my new shed build. I'll probably only update it from time to time and I'm not expecting to complete it before Easter 2022. But here's my generator shed. One of the other boaters built it for me a few years ago but it's mostly made from scrap plywood and it's all starting to rot away. So it's time to build a new one. I want it to be bigger, much bigger. The base is going to be made from four four-way pallets and will measure 8' by 6' 8". It's going to be tall enough to stand up in and big enough to keep Red Marauder in when I go off cruising. It's going to have double doors at the end, and windows and a stable door in one side. It's going to resemble a small railway station platform shelter. So, a thousand-mile walk starts with the first step and this is it. Two pallets from work today, brought home in Sam's car. We painted them with Cuprinol, then I started removing the deck boards and replacing them so as to form a bond joining the two pallets, adding more Cuprinol to any untreated parts uncovered as I went. I'll do the same on the underside once the top is finished. I should just pass on my thanks to Gill for allowing Twerp to drop off some wood last Friday which will be perfect for the internal framework. We were hoping he might stay for a while but he wasn't allowed to. Hopefully will post an update at the weekend if weather is good enough for progress.

Pallet sheds speak kindly to my design language. Well done sir. Thank you. After I built the moped shed all the other boaters said I had the most magnificent erection on the mooring and I'm sure this will be the same, only even bigger.

the magnificence of your erection can only be judged relative to others nearby.
perhaps your nayboars are genitally challenged.
