Nice place to watch the boats from.
I keep meaning to get more involved in the gongoozler side of things as an alternative to actual boating.
It must be fun.
Needless to say I have always managed to execute the turn at Hawkesbury without touching the side. In my 32ft NB and also in my 55ft NB. Years ago, in the good old days.
Never really understood what was so difficult about it but to be fair I never did it in bad weather so the wind effect could cause problems I suppose.
Happy days cruising the cut without a worry in the world.

Will you complain about the stinky, messy and smokey boats after you move in?
Looks nice.

I reckon they are selling due to the new housing estate being built right behind the house, believe there will also be a marina as part of it.
With the new estate at the entrance to Sutton and the other estate being built on the golf course next to the canal leading towards marston its going to get very congested and busy round there, doesn't help with only two roads leading in and out of the area.

Building everywhere it seems. We had been thinking of downsizing since retirement and kids moving out. Looked at a couple of lovely places, but always a doubt about what might be built at the bottom of the garden. Other problem is that smaller properties tend to come with smaller garage space, and I like my toys. Pretty cottages along there though aren’t they. Used to fish near them with my grandad, 50years ago... blimey.

Yeah seems to be new estates going up everywhere at the minute, all around that end of Bedworth/Exhall is getting hammered, just like Long shoot/Weddington.
I wonder if the right idea is what they have done outside Rugby, Houlton, create a whole new village away from the town, create new roads and schools so the infrastructure around Rugby doesn't get chocked up every day.

Not just inner east London then.
I've had a boat here for ten years now and in that time they must have put up about a thousand new flats within golfball hitting distance. And I always have been crap with the woods. Give me a 7 iron and it'll be okay.
Crazy overdevelopment. This country is getting too crowded !!

There is that.
At least the latest elf secretary Javid has put it on record that "we know that two don't work" so there is perhaps a chance that the coronavirus bollocks will at last get going properly and knock the population down a bit.
Why do I think this won't happen?
Not wishing to sound too foxy but it's quite a silly situation when a gov minister says that. Anyone who has had two vaccines is now completely unprotected is what he is saying.

Anyone else noticed Fradley "not so new" town over the last couple of years ....? Truly scary....

I think the Powers That Be know that the UK is overcrowded, that's what these soon-to-be compulsory death injections are all about, to kill all the plebs off now that they are no longer required in the manufacturing industry.
No doubt in five years' time we will have a much more sustainable population level, the unvaccinated wealthy can snap up all of these £200,000 houses for £10,000 and the cycle can start again.

That is the question.
