No one at the dock got a LFT and willing to deliver? possibly, but the only one I have spoken to has only a couple (and they are a familly with a vulnerable member) so they need them more than me
a few days wait is not a problem, as I said, whatever it is I wouldn't travel and stay with my sister and risk passing on cold/flu, even pre Covid
Bloomin oldies going risk averse...
Back in my yoof we used to have xmas with 20 crowded into a 3 bed house, 3 or 4 to a bed, 1 yr old to 80 yr old, there was always someone with the sniffles...
Don't know what is wrong with the yoof oldies these days...

Id not put much faith in LFTs. I know 2 people that have had Neg results on these whilst testing positive with PCR tests. Your probably right about delaying a visit, flu is just as dangerous as Covid 19. Our daughters BF tested pos yesterday so that’s changed our Christmas plans. On the bright side, this means Ali and me can now have Christmas afloat. Hope that doesn’t sound selfish(Nick). Seems a little sad, will be first time that we haven’t shared Christmas dinner with both our kids in attendance. All caused by a bit of a cold. Well in daughters BFs case, not even as much as a sniffle! Anyway, you take care John, and I hope all here manage to have a pleasant Christmas. Cheers, Ian.

A tarts boudoir was my thought. Each to their own... Definitely. But what is your point?

ah well my plans are now in abeyance yesterday teatime started developing a sore throat .... did a flow test ..... negative. that was my last one so thought I'd pop out this morning and get another pack .... ha ha !!! ALL the chemists in Beverley are out of stock !!! anyway positive or negative whatever it is, Covid, cold, flu (I have slight cough as well now) I can't and won't risk passing it on to my sister. I will try and book a PCR test but they seem busy as well (probably by people who like me who can't get flow test kits) I have called her and put Christmas on hold, hopefully by the 27th/28th I should be able to get some test kits Bugger !!! I was looking forward to it !!! That’s a shame. Have you tried ordering a pack of LFTs from the nhs website? They seem to be in and out of stock, it’s just a matter of persisting until they are in stock. I ordered a box last week, came next day.

There would be no point in not having Christmas where you want to, if previous arrangements have fallen through due to unavoidable circumstances.

Not my idea of good looks but I accept everyone has different tastes.
And for clarity - that is a good thing by me.

It was a joke!

You can test positive on a PCR for up to 90 days after, which is why they require people to isolate until getting a negative LFT. My son fell for that one, failed a second PCR at the end of his 10 day isolation and had to isolate for a further 10 days.

Just spoken to Mum, Boxing day now seems like it's going to be fairly quiet - LFT positive tests coming in thick and fast.

Going back to the tart's boudoir it reminds me a little bit of the transsexual prostitute vans you get in Bois de Boulogne in Paris.
Damhikt but anyway let's say I am unusually observant.
