That's sad, too.
My husband died most unfairly at the age of 60.
These things do, indeed, happen.
I just worry that people are panicked into things they don't need to do. I was threatened at the age of 29 that if I didn't follow the Specialist's advice I would be in a wheelchair by the age of 40.
Guess what I told them ....

One of my uncles died recently aged 96. My mum's only non suicidal brother, out of 4 brothers. At least he is keeping the averages up. Must have been mad shit for him having 4 of his six siblings and one of his own daughters kill themselves.
One could take it the wrong way !
Funeral next Friday. I might go. Not seen the old git for about 25 years but he was an interesting survivor. Always was a bit of a cunt but never mind ?

They were all friends of my kids. I guess we must all choose our own way. Anyways, time for a glass and I’m going to sit with my feet in the river and decide whether I’m brave enough to jump in. Loads of youngsters on the far bank have. Enjoy your evening.

What, worse than Blair? Surely he didn't kill anywhere near enough innocent civilians to come even close? Without wishing to sound like our dear Ross, perhaps we should wait until the repercussions of the "waived liability" vaccines come home to roost........... I've read a lot of 'anti-vaxxer' nonsense and am not in their camp.... but time will tell with these 'Covid vaccines'... I am simply of the opinion that these 'vaccines' were a con, as there was no 'pandemic' to start with. I'll give Boris credit for this - he openly laughed in your faces, sans face-mask, whilst you all had face masks on, sang 'Happy Birthday' as you washed your hands, and ran down to the 'NHS nurse' in a hijab for her to inject you with 'something'. Lunacy on steroids. Unfortunately many of us sane people were caught up in your frenzy of panic about a non-existent 'virus' - international borders still remain closed for 'The Unvaccinated' - and the EU 'Vaxx Pass' is up and running until at least June 2023... this was all a 'conspiracy theory'.... yet has, predictably, come true. Only a matter of time before the 'Covid Vaxx Pass' turns into a 'social credit system' where your 'green credits' are totted up and the Government decides what you may or may not do, according to whether you are a 'model citizen' or not. You may think this "can't happen" but they've already screwed you by raising the price of fuel and electricity.

ETA actually maybe you are not on the Nene any more. Ouse? Might be the same. The Thames is clean.

No fight accepted, nor intended. Our respective moorings are just too good for something so unnecessary! Just that, sadly, I know of two young(ish) people (one 33, one 50) who have just dropped dead for no apparent reason other than unexpected heart failure following a jab.... Sorry - shouldn't have shaken the box, but I do have concerns about what many people might have unwittingly done to themselves in all the panic. That’s sad, sorry to hear. I must say though that in 2013, I attended the funerals of 3 people, all under 33. They all died suddenly and unexpectedly. It happens. It may be that undiagnosed cardiac issues cause sudden death syndrome which is perhaps also why we lose youngsters on the playing fields. It is sad.

I'd like to see Steve Baker MP have a go at being PM. He seems to have a lot of integrity and was one of the key guys to push Brexit through. He is also one of the few who has stood up against the fear mongering we have seen over the last 2 years. I understand he is putting himself forward. Steve Baker is a far right climate change denying nutter..as PM. No he isn't. He just thinks net zero targets aren't realisticaly achievable and that climate has been propagandised to push other agendas. He's said greenhouse gasses do contribute to climate change but it's contestable how much. Anyway, as I've said before, I think party politics has had it's day. We need individuals in government who care more about our country than their careers. Whilst we have no viable opposition to the tories we are heading towards a virtual dictatorship.

I also think Baker has at least some common sense thinking going on. He’s not the only one that questions whether global warming is all down to mankind. I for one reckon nature is playing a part. Everyone rushing out to buy EVs won’t help at all.

Boris has no worries. He has an 'iron rice-bowl' in the form of a fat pension simply for being PM. And let's face it, even Tony B did quite well for himself afterwards. Of course not to the same scale as Nigel Farage ..... I believe his pension from the EU will be in the order of 40% greater than that of an ex British PM Yes John they pay themselves well and pensions are even better Jaynes mum is an ex MEP snout well and truly in the trough!!

Tory MP mocks leadership contest with tongue-in-cheek tweet
"I will be available to promise you the moon on a stick. Ask and it shall be yours."
These are the words of one Tory MP who let his thoughts be known about the leadership contest, and potential candidates.
Mark Jenkinson, MP for Workington, belittled the "inflated sense of self-importance" of some of his ambitious colleagues, leading him to joke he should add his own name to the ballot.
Less than 24 hours after Boris Johnson announced his resignation, he jokingly said in a tweet: "Let me worry about how I deal with three chancellors and a cabinet of 160. It is having the answers to those questions that makes me the most suitable candidate."
