Pentra railway viaduct, built bigger / grander than the Pontcysyllte canal aqueduct next door. The one next door, that you are on, is the Chirk aqueduct, Shirley.

Edstone Aqueduct. With its low set towpath and windy location , I always think it's the most precarious of the aqueducts. Rog

Almost lost things from top of boat yars ago there. I'm sure in the river below there will be a few things such as lightweight outdoor chairs and chimney pots.

The very utilitarian aqueduct over the Avon at Warwick. I wonder if the aqueduct was changed between 1930 and 1934 when the locks were widened ? Anyone happen to know ? Rog

That iron rail looks a bit newer than the original build.
I'd say it was upgraded but have not checked so could be wrong. Looks a bit like a Brunel broad gauge rail but again that is just supposition.

Been doing a bit of googling ... apparently the three arch sandstone aqueduct was built in the 1790's and the concrete cladding added in 1909.
Bizarrely when I looked at stock library photos of the aqueduct the two photos below came up.
Bit of a shock 😁

When i went over it in 2019 there was a man stood with a clipboard on the edge waiting for me too pass, i slowed thinking he was going to tell me something important, he asked if i wanted to become a CRT Friend, i laughed at him and accelerated off.
