I couldn't find a picture of that boat, but I found one of a similar one that's slightly longer and trading on the K & A and G-U, apart from the lenghts they are almost identical. Here is a photo on which you can see the "pleasing" lines of the bow, that surely has given the designer a hard task to create such a beautiful hydro-dynamical shaped bow, and the hard job for the fabricaters too Peter. we moored up next to this one in Bradford upon Avon at Easter. I did have a peak inside and looks a very nice boat. all the passengers looked happy walking of to the pub.

In the end that's all what counts, the passengers that have to pay quite a lot of money need to have comfort, good meals and a pleasant- and helpful crew to look after them during their stay.
The barge is looking plenty pretty enough to them, and they surely don't care at all what her underwater shape is, there's nothing fishy about that .

Also helps if there's no effluent in the wardrobe! Possibly left by a guest.

I'm sure that the chance of something like that happening is extremely rare, as the cabins are cleaned daily, and the beds made up etc, and an extra thorough clean everytime before new passengers arrive.
I hope that you didn't have such a bad experience on one of your cruises on this boat , as that would really have made it a shit cruise.
Peter.

Outwardly it looks good.
The scrap milk float/ forklift truck traction motor and the unprotected prop and rudder are two massive negatives though.
Would be nice with a P55 Stuart Turner 10hp two stroke twin like it probably had when new.

I agree about the motor, but I'd put a lovely little diesel in it.

Stuart's were available right up to the mid 70's that I know of. .it would be interesting to know it's history. As you say a lot of those launches were wood, this one seems a much better proposition than a wood one, and a fresh start with propulsion. A little diesel twin would move it well, but I'd guarantee it would be a better Boat with a Stuart in it

I think Stuart did a little diesel, as you say a much better proposition in steel.
