as you say, that was a heck of a bargain. Bruce Roberts multi chine hulls have a good reputation.

I think we discussed that boat before and came to conclusion it was a bit of a dodgy one. Or maybe it was another one. I believe they were kit boats so some will be better than others. Could explain the price.

The yard is selling it, because of us paid fees. That explains the price. They are good boats but the 36ft version would be better for a livaboard.

that looks quite an interesting base for a small houseboat. Shed on top and add an electric pod drive on one end for little trips along the river. And shed loads of solar and dirty lead acid batteries for ballast.

what a fucking boring monotonal YouTube video. OK, not the most interesting vlog from Sailing Emerald Steel, , : back story is that they gave up working, sold their businesses, bought the plans for a Spray $750, built it themselves. Suzi is the cook/welder, Jules does everything else, and they have been sailing pretty much everywhere for the last forty years or so........

Yes, well it's like the preface of a book, not madly interesting, just one page of several thousand. I follow the channel for the same reason I read Slocum, something we all think about, but few of us realise the dream.

You've obviously got lots of spare time. I can't disagree with that. I'm retired. Why else would anyone be on here?
