Anyway it's a shame there is not more detail on the boat in the picture. I wonder if it has a little transom and perhaps a seagull or similarly antique type power unit on there. It looks as if it could be a little sailing boat actually but it's quite difficult to see it as the image is very cluttered. One would be well chuffed, owning that boat.

I'm a bit worried about the cleat on the bow deck.
.............. or maybe I shouldn't be 'cos the lady appears to be appreciating it.

I wonder what it looked like before they power washed, degreased and slathered it, it's flexible pipes and belts etc in grey paint? A bit of a heap I'd guess though the description says otherwise.

If it was a lighthouse set it might have always been well maintained and indoors.
Gardner grey is the right colour. Is it possible that it was a backup system which never got used?

Bit of a trek for me to get this one but looks like a really nice little dinghy for children to play with. And adults It's got a lateen sail. Not sure what this is but it sounds quite clever. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pram-Dinghy-Row-Sail-or-Electric-Outboard-Pearson-Brothers-/333599692838I'd have it if it was on the Thames but it isn't. Looks like Great Ouse as listing says Bedford. Not a fan of pram dinghies (or prams!) But I would make an exception for this as I have a suspicion it might be a really good little boat. A bit of extra buoyancy is handy for the kids so they can play properly. The boat in all its glory I think it's pretty wicked.

I thought it was slang for "Latin" which is why I thought it was very clever.
It does look to be junk to be fair.
According to the listing it is useful for tacking.
Sailing on the upper Thames is obviously a completely pointless activity but if it can be made marginally less pointless by
Oh never mind.
Lets not bother with the sailing thing!
I never did so why encourage the children?

That's quite a convincing argument actually.
I never learned to sail despite everyone in my family going back 5 generations were seafarers.
Probably not necessary to hand down this personal trauma. Just let them sail.
