TBH, its pulling at my heart. But its a fin keel boat, and the banner price is just the start. Yup Fin keel puts me off as well that and the fact I already have two boats and my name down on a third (trying to catch up to magnetman ) I just added another one so it's up to 13 now. Latest addition is "the green thing" which is another GRP dinghy. The barge, the launch, the toy trawler, the Fairline 19, the little blue boat, the green thing, the floating electric beer drinking platform, the dinghy, the pink dink, the orange kayak, the white kayak, the dark blue kayak, the light blue kayak. And younger daughter now wants me to get her a stand up paddle board. So I suppose I will have to do that... It's all a bit excessive but several of the smaller ones were just things people didn't want. GRP items and I prefer seeing GRP boats (little easily managed one) useable as boats rather than being landfill. It's a really cool material as you can get nice shapes but it's hellish for onward material use... Should be banned really as a boat building material. For the planet maaan.

Yes, yet again my immediate neighbour is for sale. It's looking better inside and the engine is running now, but the hull is still the big unknown.

The wide bean which was submerged partly blocking the approach to Sunbury lock has been put on auction. It was recovered after a few weeks and is in a poor state internally with some additional external damage. Useable and floating and a very recent build. It is a toweringly, catastrophically UNinteresting boat but a little unusual as it is a very new decent sized wide bean by a known builder (18x3.5m so about 57x11'6 "Collingwood" generic widebean) which is probably going to be sold very cheaply. www.brightwellslive.com/lot/details/488679I wonder how much it will get. Quite intriguing. I just remembered about this.. did anyone see what it sold for? Don't know how much it fetched but just came past me going up the Thames near Henldy. engine running fine no smoke or anything. Someone got a bargain there I reckon.

That's excellent !! Love it. A tad problematic as a beer drinking platform, you'd have to wear a camelback. Or fit a camelback tube to a large keg in a rucsac.

Interesting boat.
"Do not bid without contacting me first" seems like someone does not understand the eBay purchase model.
Low tide and a decent hammer ?

Exactly. It needs moving off the mooring, which could be an issue. Anyway your losing your touch, you can usually tell the condition of a boat from photos.
