It's a nice little yacht but surely the hull is going to be in trouble with that stern being open to the elements. it must have had water sitting in it for ages. Not ideal but would be interesting to have a look at anyway.
1/8 plate is quite thin isn't it.
ETA it has a cover of sorts over the stern but doesn't look all that good really.

The bloke who has become the de-facto Seagull guru is really into them. Have a look at the 'for sale' page, there's a nicely kept one with a fat price tag listed. www.eventides.org.ukNot sure I have the time to go and look, I think we'd be regarded as timewasters - and rightly so. Its a bit big for what I have in mind but if I wanted a cheap-as-chips liveaboard it would be a contender.

Go out and visit with your rag and stick tub, take an expert magnet fisherman with you. Oh what fun.

Go out and visit with your rag and stick tub, take an expert magnet fisherman with you. Oh what fun. I wouldn't mind circumnavigating the wreck as a navigation exercise. But I'd need a good tide - just getting to Sheerness would take about two hours (guess) so a midsummer day when there's a spring tide and HW is about 1000. Even so, I'd have to anchor somewhere to wait for the incoming tide for the return passage. Also I read somewhere the famous upperworks visible at LW are going to be / have been removed on safety grounds so that takes some of the fun out of it. Magnet fishing - no, no, no.
