Oooooooooooooo !!! 8LB 8LB doesn't exist in the Gardner range of engines I know this is not your typo bye the way. It's probably an 8L3B. The 3 indicating a displacement of 3 litres per cylinder. Nice unit for a heavy barge but some people prefer a Daewoo offered at a too-good-to miss price. And who can blame them.

Definitely interesting if it has been dry stored as described. Could be as good as new !

You do wonder how many boats are sitting round the country, unloved, unused, and often no known owner (thinking more on shore/ up little creeks etc not on regulated waterways).

Probably more than get loved and used regularly. When I go to a posh marina and see all the boats held prisoner it makes me sad. That boats that have been made to cross oceans are just tied up and left. They never get the chance to realise there potential.

according to fb for £25,000 to the right owner ..... has had what sounds like all the hull work completed in 10mm and has been 2 packed and surveyed
