I’m not quite sure about the mast. But if as they say they intended to cruise the European canals there must be.some way of lowering it. The major problem is not enough room for solar panels.

You don't need that much solar really. With the big panels I think just one would do most of the work. Worth fitting a good quality wind turbine to top of mast I think with sensible wiring. Wind turbines are generally pants but if you get them into some real wind they can work quite well.

The major problem is not enough room for solar panels. Or for storing large quantities of shit in cardboard boxes.

A boat like that will be able to eject the black water overboard which is where it should go.

Sure enough a nice item suitable to live aboard. I wonder what the fuel consumption rate is but as the man said, 'if you have to ask you can't afford it'. Anyway I don't have £70,000 spare.

This might be a nicer cup of tea for a trip round the bay... All you need is money for diesel and some food and to avoid having any children. Yes, many conversations with my own children include the observation "before you came along and fucked my life up".

very pretty. I think we had that one on before. Miller Fifer always a pretty type of boat. I don't fully understand the flappy canvas thing but it seems to have an engine so presumably one could bin that and cut the telegraph pole thing up for the fire. Nice looking boat in steel. Even nicer were it not for the oversized flag thing.

I can’t help feeling it’s a bit overpriced though.

At that price or anywhere near it one would want to see very good steel inside and out and no overplating anywhere.
It is quite high but if it is exceptional then it could be worth it.

Now I remember. This is the boat with rust patches on the Gardner engine. Hmm. Damp inside? Didn't notice if it has a fire in there.
