But it's George's choice not to have paid his licence out of the crowdfunding ££££. Not forgetting to self declare BSC exemption of course. That's always a winner. There must be a better way to resolve these situations. It’s not as if it’s the first time crt have found themselves in similar situations. CRT could get a Ukrainian sniper for a fiver.

It's just that you won't be sending him any money.

It's just that you won't be sending him any money. just think you could have got ten years free on your boat. That would have paid for the welding work it needed.

It will be interesting to see if they physically remove him if he refuses to leave. Perhaps they will stick red hot mooring pins into his eyes.

5:47pm 'IT'S NOT OVER YET' A significant development just in - George has agreed to move from his current mooring and could leave Wiltshire for a new home 200 miles away. The boating community are hoping to tow his boat through the canal lock at Bradford on Avon to a new mooring further up the canal to near the Airsprung factory on the Canal Road industrial estate in Trowbridge. They have been told to contact the CRT on Thursday with an update. Leading member of the local canal community Laura Darling said: “It’s not over yet”. George said: “I am having to give in to their unlawful demands and I’ll organise removing the boat from their waterways. “I’m going to move the boat to the Lincoln Brayford Pool where the mooring is owned by Lincoln City Council and out of the CRT waterways. “They had no lawful order to move my boat and no warrant to enter or possession order. It was an attempt at unlawful eviction without the correct court orders and due process.” Some familiar remarks there. Could Donkley have actually managed to *save* a boat?

I don’t blame him personally, it would be the fastest way to bring todays actions infront of a court. If a court hearing is a result of what happens today, the subject will not be the legality of the official actions. It would mean he isn't sleeping on the street tonight though. He only has to jump into a dinghy at Folkestone and 'land' at Dymchurch and he's guaranteed a 4*hotel in Bourton-on-the-Water.

Nick brown talks the same kind of language.

A few eye opening statements on that article.
"The CRT terminated Mr Ward’s boat licences on December 18 2020 in response to an incident on November 27 2020 when it alleges he had been verbally abusive and threatened one of its employees."
Seems no evidence was produced in court if the above statement is true then surely he has a point.
Can they terminate a licence for being a dick?
As there was no evidence provided and he wasn't convicted shouldn't his licence be reinstated?
They claim that his friends moving the boat would breach the court order. How would removing the boat breach an order to remove the boat?

So the police and crt have fucked off, well done George. See Tony that’s how it’s done. And so what if I have filled the bottom of my old tub with concrete, it seems to have stopped the water from seeping in. Another night in a damp boat.
