5:47pm 'IT'S NOT OVER YET' A significant development just in - George has agreed to move from his current mooring and could leave Wiltshire for a new home 200 miles away. The boating community are hoping to tow his boat through the canal lock at Bradford on Avon to a new mooring further up the canal to near the Airsprung factory on the Canal Road industrial estate in Trowbridge. They have been told to contact the CRT on Thursday with an update. Leading member of the local canal community Laura Darling said: “It’s not over yet”. George said: “I am having to give in to their unlawful demands and I’ll organise removing the boat from their waterways. “I’m going to move the boat to the Lincoln Brayford Pool where the mooring is owned by Lincoln City Council and out of the CRT waterways. “They had no lawful order to move my boat and no warrant to enter or possession order. It was an attempt at unlawful eviction without the correct court orders and due process.” That is going to be an interesting journey..........

It's quite a long way especially being towed.

It's quite a long way especially being towed. I think there are some boaters on site who will be aware of this. How do you know it’s not getting craned and trucked there.

I suspect the boat will be craned - to where and who pays the bill though remains to be seen.

With the odd notable exception, . . now running into 6 pages of mindless garbage, . . with a generous helping of some rather sour grapes. How very unedifying, . . but not at all unpredictable.
Those with a genuine interest in finding out more about today's goings on should look elsewhere on the threads that have been covering C&RT Ltd's illegal boat seizures and contempt for the law and the Courts for quite some time. The arseholes that have filled this thread with their bigoted unthinking crap needn't bother !

That is going to be an interesting journey.......... why? According to CanalPlanAC it's nearer 300 miles than 200 (296 miles 7 furlongs) and 222 locks. I imagine that would take a couple of months given that a lot of the locks would need to be operated twice if the boat is towed there. I'm a bit curious as to how he's going to be able to afford a residential mooring too.

Which is why the other is moored in Bradford upon Avon and not on a trailer to a well known boat yard.
Andrew, with the boat moored around the corner on the same canal has the duck been removed from the bucket? 🫣

But you blew it by being too tight to get a safety cert and insurance. Oh well aye, live and learn.
