I'm sure there are a few on here who have done this.
Did you find anything bad happened which was unexpected ?
It will be GRP as there won't be any spare time for maintenance work to be done.
I'm thinking 25ft sloop but could look at the option of possibly going for a ketch. Sailing is presumably a doddle.

99% boredom and 1% sheer terror. If you are going to do it though, I recommend the Donald Crowhurst approach.

Absolute solitude must be a difficult situation to deal with. It wasn't solitude that flipped Mr Crowhurst, but he could have used a bit of counselling for sure.

I've experienced some tempestuous storms in a few small cruise ships..
at one time we tossed up n down at 5k in a Force 9/10 whilst Ma Nature threw her worst at us.. sat there for 24 hours
I would not recommend sailing across any sea in a small boat
Also went across the Bay in a flat bottomed converted ferry.. I did not manage to get out of my bed...
I am not sick but my head does wheelies and I just stay put.
There must be better ways to do a runner ...
