1). Yes. 2). Yes. 3). Most people are gibbering cretins, incapable of independent thought. Even the ones who did the Classics at proper school. Are the gibbering cretins the same specimens who were somehow deemed eligible to vote on complex matters of foreign policy?

Choices choices!
1. Plebiscites should be banned.
2. Plebiscite on the death penalty.

People capable of seeing through the Covid bollocks are statistically more likely to be able to see through the eu bollocks so if anything their votes should be worth double. You lost. Suck it up, Buttercup.

Incidentally, I didn't vote on the basis that I didn't understand the question.

Nobody thought 5G was the cause of the virus. That was just disinformation which your masters fed you and which you eagerly swallowed.

Incidentally Metanoia, I think that's a commendable view but in practice it only matters when money is at stake.

Plenty of people believed it because they read about it on FB or some such. A tiny percentage of people maybe. The vast majority of "Covid deniers" saw it for exactly what it was, an averagely severe outbreak of Winter flu, exaggerated out of all proportion for political and economic ends but whose views were derided as being "Karen from Facebook". Apart from the Facebook aspect it was exactly the same as the AIDS hysteria of the 1980s when we were being told on television "By the end of the 1980s, every family in the country will have been touched by AIDS". But if you want to swallow this shit then I guess it's a free country. I would fight to the death for your right to be a cretin.

In a way I can understand simple-minded folk being taken in at the time, given all the media pressure and dire predictions. Fear is a powerful driver for those incapable of making their own projections and looking to be "saved" by Boris, Matt, Chris and the rest of the charlatans.
What I can't understand is why, with the benefit of hindsight, some people still are. The same people will probably whinge endlessly about the decline in the canal network, being totally incapable of making the connection between the economic devastation brought about by the ridiculous lockdowns and the reduction in Government funding of CRT in the decades to come.

Or even the connection between a ex-public school buffoon running the country and having voted for him.
