Since 2015 in the UK , storms have been given names by the Met Office and forecasters.
Prior to 2015 was it just winter ?
It always appears to me that the naming is an attempt to personalise and therefore make more dramatic.
Rather like wildlife programmes these days always introduce dramatic elements by giving creatures names and superimposing characters in order to 'engage' us more.
I bloomin' hate it.
