We jumped on a bus to Henley in Arden today.
Being very old I have a bus pass, but my young wife does not.
The Β£2 fare is an excellent idea.
I've always considered public transport should be subsidised as it is a direct way of helping the least well off.
Long may it continue.

Ive become a bus wanker so much since the new year, never been on one for probably 30 years prior! Β£2 one way journey or Β£3.10 return, quite a bargain!π Costs me that to start my carπ and no hassle with drink driving risk, win win!π
Hounds travel free too!π

I went out on the piss in Rugby last weekend, got absolutely bladdered and decided to take a bus home.
I'm quite proud of myself, I'd never driven a bus before.

Of course it doesn't help the Metropolitan elite ... just us in the rest of the country ... the largest part of the country π
Let's hope Sir Kier supports public transport.

Mostly using trains and trams when we can, local journeys I use the ebike in preference to the car. I have a disabled persons Railcard that gets 30% off for both of us, wrinkly railcards are available for a small fee too, though afaik only discount for the card owner.

That drink driving thing is a bit of a dodgy situation isn't it.
I've decided to cut down on my driving.
I still have not reapplied for the licence. I suppose it will go over the two yar limit and I'll have to do another test but I really can't see myself needing a car ever as my lifestyle is so simple and not subject to the kind of interference which requires car use.
If I lived in rural Wales I suppose it would be handy but I don't.

A licence is worth having ... easier to get it back now and not use it than have to go through the test business again.
Who knows ... you may need employment at some point and a driving licence is a handy skill.

Consider that a photo card id is usefull. Also simplicity itself to obtain. At the present time, anyway.
