Narrowboatworld has expressed its support of the increase in surcharges to cc-ers and widebeams (or widebeans if you wish to convey a generally zany public image). However, in a somewhat alarming turn of events, it seems the latter have been sighted on narrow canals. narrowboatworld.com/15234-shot-themselves-in-the-foot

There are wide beans between Braun St On and Hellmorton locks. There was a marina built near the prison which is allowed to take wide beans.
Its not about wide craft passing through narrow locks that would be too silly.
The section in question has got wide bridge holes but the canal is not of two way wide traffic dimensions.
I have not read the article it could be about somewhere else.

I’d read the article because it’s not about that.

I wonder why the OP added the sentence
"However, in a somewhat alarming turn of events, it seems the latter have been sighted on narrow canals."

I wonder why the OP added the sentence "However, in a somewhat alarming turn of events, it seems the latter have been sighted on narrow canals." I’m getting worried about him, he seems to be losing his grip.
