So anyway.
Belching of previously stored biological material under the Boat is an obvious one.
I also have had random banging noises presumably due to temperature differences.
I am currently getting slightly irritating noises from various pieces of infrastructure related to a weir.
Its not too terrible and one accepts this as part of the life afloat but I do wonder if there are other things which cause delight or annoyance to the occupier of the vessel from time to time in a number of different regards.
Bearing in mind the Boating Season is about to arrive.

Not necessarily what you were considering ... we travelled up the North Stratford canal.
It was really shallow and full of natural debris and flotsam.
Made cruising quite slow.
Turned at Kings Norton onto the Worcester & Birmingham canal and instantly deeper water, less debris, and able to up revs considerably.
One may have expected the run into Birmingham to be the more plagued with debris but it was jolly good.

If I could stop the ducks/swans pecking at the hull at 4am without the use of a gun - I'd be a lot less of a miserable git...

Don’t feed them. But you’ll probably still be a miserable git.

I quite like to hear it ... bit like hearing rain ... comforting feeling cocooned in your boat.

I heard of an old steel lifeboat which was so thin the ducks pecking holed it and it sank.

Did you mean antifowl, I have considered buying some of that anti pidgeon spike stuff and super glueing it to the boat. Has anyone tried this...

Has anyone tried this... Pigeon spikes are excellent. You want the metal ones. It would be good to be able to electrify these things for a shockingly good deterrent.
