That's not sarcasm, that's fact. So no-one can engage with your posts unless they don't ask questions or comment on anything you say. Ah, it's that sort of discussion. OK.

Claiming that just because someone is good at publicity is the same as them being right isn't an opinion it's a fact. Although you have said little, I suspect you think the Mail article supports the NBTA case, yet we all know the Mail has a reputation for posting lies. Do you think the Mail post ads credence to the NBTA view?

I couldn't read the article fully because I refused to accept their cookies. However, the headline was less than promising when they didn't even spell "licences" correctly.....

it's nothing you haven't read before. It was published last week in the Telegraph or Guardian IIRC. I'm waiting for the paper that gives the other side of the coin to show their demands as wanting for nothing, something others pay for with council taxes

If you get Brave browser you don't have to accept or refuse cookies. They don't exist and neither do tracker based adverts. No login or account needed. I've watched plenty of youtube videos and so have the kids. Never see a single ad.

However, the headline was less than promising when they didn't even spell "licences" correctly..... Yes, but since "licence" and "license" are pronounced in exactly the same way, and since written language exists solely to create a permanent record of spoken language, it doesn't matter.

To be fair it does degrade the general credibility of a media outlet if they don't practice good basic grammar skills.
some people might think they are incompetent. One thing that is unacceptable in this regard is incompetense.
