I see the SNP have terminated the agreement with the Greens.
What's going on, do the SNP feel that the Greens have forced the agenda too far to the left, that this leaves the SNP electorally vulnerable? Something else?
Telemachus maybe?

The SNP didn’t get enough MSPs so were a minority government. They needed someone to add a few votes to give them a majority. The partial PR type voting system gives the electorate an opportunity to vote for a party as well as an MSP. The party candidates are on a list and they get into parliament in proportion to the “list vote”.
The other big parties are all against independence so the only choice was the looney greens. They got 2 MSPs in the cabinet despite having a tiny proportion of the overall vote. They have had various barking mad ideas, most of which have failed. They obviously were into cutting carbon emissions and forced through a policy that would see Scotland impoverished - and as a tiny country, its carbon emissions are globally insignificant anyway.
Eventually SNP, realising there was no way they were going to meet the fast approaching interim targets, decided to ditch them. The looney greens got a sulk on and threatened to remove support for the SNP. So in the end Humza Useless found his balls and told them to fuck off. Which was good (if far too late) but of course now means that the weak and incompetent SNP government no longer have a majority, interesting times! And it will be more interesting once Nicola is arrested for being a thieving bitch.

Which was good (if far too late) but of course now means that the weak and incompetent SNP government no longer have a majority, interesting times! And it will be more interesting once Nicola is arrested for being a thieving bitch. It's interesting that Nicola's husband was arrested for embezzlement. Even more interesting would be a simple question to Nicola: 'Did you know anything about your husband's embezzlement activities?' This would doubtless lead to Nicola giving a long speech including the word 'progressive' on several occasions but tactfully ignoring the question of her husband's thieving. When he's convicted, it's inevitable, she, naturally, will be shocked, will have known nothing about it. You know, wives, they never know anything about the activities of their husbands, eh. I think, given the various criminal/ immoral activities of politicians which have become apparent of late we can finally, once again, make a distinction between the right and the left: The right: a bunch of pervs. The left: they just can't keep their hands out of the till.

Further developments today it seems.
Quite a chaotic and troubled situation it appears.

Further developments today it seems. Quite a chaotic and troubled situation it appears. Rog Yes. Jeff and I are loving it! The arrogant zealots are finally demonstrating that Scottish independence is NOT the will of the people, contrary to their constant ramming of this point down everyone’s throats. The simple fact is that the SNP did not get the majority of the vote. And I can see that share of the vote dwindling at the next election - hopefully with a few of them with criminal records!

He's gone. Well he will go once a replacement has been selected from the large pool of other totally useless SNP politicians.

Still a no confidence vote in the government this week I think ?
Wonder if a deal's been struck ... his resignation for Greens support in that vote?

There was always something weird about the strong will for additional sovereignty by way of independence matched by an equally strong will to give away sovereignty by rejoining the EU.
It remains equally weird today.
My money would be on hatred of the English being the strongest, overriding will. Hatred of others not being high on the list of those who claim to be 'progressive', but there you go.

Politicians don't seem to stick around like they used to anymore. You used to be sick of the sight of them by the time they left office, now you barely remember their name. I do see Liz Truss being an excellent pub quiz/Pointless answer in years to come so must remember that

Forgive me if I’m wrong but I seem to remember that he has had no job outside of politics? Bound to fail if this is true. Also ……. His nickname was/is Useless, our new Welsh leader’s nickname is guessing …… is there a pattern forming 🤔?

No matter, as an ex first minister he gets a pension of £85k for life starting now. Good work if you can get it. Looks like John Swinney will get to be FM. The blandest thing on the menu. The continuity continuity candidate. Never mind, all the more reason to dump the SNP at the next election. I think Kate Forbes would have been much better, a different take on issues. Well she is a religious nutter and disapproves of the poofs, but I could forgive her that if she did a good job running the country.
