Hopefully, if the guy who was kicked in the head whilst on the ground receives a sum of compensation, enhanced because of the colour of his skin, it will be a while before he can spend it. The payment delayed until he is released from prison.

I can't believe that none of these three people have been charged with assaulting a police officer, regardless of anything which happened after the fact.

The one who attacked the police officer, was tasered and then kicked in the head is called Muhammed Fahir khan, you may be better at searching the internet than I am.

Must admit my earlier comments were wrong. Having seen the more complete video, it's clear that the level of violence they were confronted with, the copper had to do whatever it took to keep that guy down. Not pretty but in the circumstances I consider justified. Rog Sure will be interesting to see the final verdict; despite the fact of the vicious attack launched on the three officers, particularly the two women, it still seems unnecessary to have kicked the guy on the floor. The male officer is clearly outraged and angry and I understand why he obviously felt that way but...it can't be called 'justifiable force'; the man on the floor is already incapacitated. In the cold light of day that is undoubtedly correct, but in a fast-moving situation where the police officer had been repeatedly beaten about the head and was possibly stunned from the use of the taser himself, it may be understandable that he didn't make the most logically correct and cool-headed decision in accordance with his training. I don't think personally that he will be sacked, something will have to be conceded to public opinion.

But no, he "...didn't make the most logically correct and cool-headed decision in accordance with his training." An incisive and erudite analysis.

So far all the Police have said about the perp is that "He was born in Cardiff" bit this is not exactly the same as saying "He is Welsh".

Also the PM should be simultaneously present at any venue whatsoever where an attack may happen, be it a dance class or a street corner, and be trained to black-belt standard in Judo to confront any attacker. It's a reasonable demand.
