I think it's fake, you can do anything with photoshop nowadays There's an information board at the top of Atherstone locks which was completely illegible when I saw it a couple of years back because of algae, so I stopped and gave it a good scrub-up and it looked brand new. I passed it earlier this year and it still looked brand new. I spent maybe 2-3 minutes with a scouring pad and a squirt of Fairy Liquid on it. If I am in no particular hurry I also sometimes clean and grease lock mechanisms. And I try to pick up as much litter as I can. Perhaps if everybody did this, the world would be a better place? I don't believe you if the Americans can fake going to the moon you can fake cleaning signs. Unless we see photos of you, or a video of you cleaning a sign it didn't happen.

No, hard to believe but Stabby's real, we've met him. Oh, sorry I see what you mean Rog Yes he's taken a photo of a perfectly clean sign, then digitally put the dirt on. It's fake. Well, of course the easy way to prove or disprove this would be to get somebody to examine the sign when passing Kris. You know, the type of boater who actually moves their boat Kris.

I think we need more evidence to prove Mrs tabby has cleaned any signs yet.

He's done well to find one of the old ones. Although we were assured the change would be a gradual process, the donut is turning up all over. Now the new signs will look better with the mud on Rog saw two vans today and shock horror they were both white with the old logo.

I think we need more evidence to prove Mrs tabby has cleaned any signs yet. How about if the next sign I clean, before I clean it completely I write in the algae with a moistened finger "Kris shits in a cardboard box"? Would that satisfy you?

That would be a start, but you could fake that. So we would need photos of you actually cleaning the sign, maybe get your son to photograph you.

Just a very quick update, we are now looking at Friday 10th August for the Limehouse-Teddington trip, leaving Limehouse at 0915 so if anyone does want to come along for the ride and can make their own way there and back, or if anyone knows someone who will be in London on that day to grab some pics as we pass then let me know. I will be but dont what time, I am picking up my Honda insight gen 1 which I imported from Japan, if its doable I will try get there to see the great trip

I observed a (newish) C&RT Land Rover Discovery today near Keynsham, with the old logo still adorned to it.

Charlie has gone home now, from Uxbridge. He was a really good help, we did 24 wide locks just yesterday and now there's only one more to do before Central London. I'm planning to do the tidal Thames on Friday week and hopefully one or both of the boys will be back for that leg. Here is "Boat of the Day".
