Yes, I'm planning to set off to the Lancaster Canal in the next few weeks, and will be stopping at Liverpool, my boy Sam and I both have a keen interest in WW2 U-boats so we will visit U-534 which is apparently one of only four U-boats in the world to be on public display.

As I've said before,a smashing display. We went when we moored up in Liverpool in 2014.

They'd tracked us down from the last pic which was our car being 'decorated' by wedding guests..

we had planned on another attempt this year but Andy got carried away with route planning and instead it turned into August 2020 - one set of guests coming in... another coming out.

We planned to vist again at year but circumstances made us alter the booking twice and then the breach happened. Plan B was over L & L but got to Anderton then that was shut so made do with the Weaver.
So this year will try again but not bothering to book until much nearer. So, may see some of you in early June.

having looked at Where we are - (and that no-one has yet booked a couple of weeks around this time), we're now thinking we should make the detour and have holiday ourselves... I mean, it's only up and down wigan an extra time and with Nick and Trina going in, we could have the thunderboat soiree -delayed by 1 year.
Maybe even offer part of it up as a guest trip to mitigate the expense.
