Getting a bit sick of thinking about the coronavirus and don't want to think about my finances too much, brings on nightmares, so I let my mind wander earlier today. I was thinking about my outlook on life, what I believe in, and how that comes about. I've decided that there are 4 factors to this, as follows:
Political: Whether you believe in a large government that's responsible for many facets of people's lives, or a smaller version.
Fiscal: Whether you're comfortable to borrow now and pay later, personally, and at government level (I appreciate the 2 things could be different)
Social: Whether you believe people should behave in an established manner, or should be free to behave as they wish, within the law
Spiritual: Whether you're religious, you deny there's a god, or there's another factor that drives your conscience.
This is me:
Political: libertarian
Fiscal: conservative
Social: liberal
Spiritual: humanist
Anyone else?

Broadly the same actually.
Not a fan of too much regulation.
Not a fan of money and am quite happy to have the minimum to live on.
Spiritual yes I go along with the humanist theory
Social behaviour I believe people should be allowed to do what is reasonable and decent and not be ruled by the state who are too often themselves ruled by people with some sort of agenda unrelated to the well-being of the group.
A bit old fashioned but I tend to think "if I do this would I be happy for everyone else to do it as well"
Answer is yes. Ok so this means inland waterways would be packed with boats but that's not a bad thing is it.

I have spent my life not having things if I don’t have the money, apart from a mortgage, however if I’m going to catch and die from Coronavirus I better start borrowing frantically, get my own back on the banks......
